Author Guidelines
Article Processing Charges (APC)
We are pleased to inform our authors and readers that as of January 1, 2025, the journal does not impose any Article Processing Charges (APC) or any hidden charges for manuscript submission, peer review, or publication. We are committed to providing open access to high-quality research without any financial barriers for authors.
Plagiarism Policy
As per plagiarism policy of Scieon Publishers, 19% plagiarism is admissible in any submission to the journal. It is more convenient to submit Turnitin report while submitting paper to the journal.
Manuscript Structure and Formatting

Title Page
- Title:
The title should be concise, informative, and no longer than 20 words. It should be in Times New Roman, 14 pt, bold, centered. - Author(s):
The full names of the authors should be listed directly below the title. Each author’s first and last names should be provided (e.g., John Doe, Jane Smith).- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, bold.
- Do not include academic titles (e.g., Dr., Prof.).
- Author Affiliations:
Each author's affiliation (department, institution, country) should be listed with a superscript number corresponding to the authors.- Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt.
- Example:
John Doea, Jane Smithb

- Authors Emails
- Corresponding Author:
The corresponding author should be indicated with an asterisk (*) next to their name. Include the corresponding author’s email address and mailing address for correspondence.- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, italicized.

Abstract
- The abstract should summarize the study in 200-250 words.
- No references should be included in the abstract.
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, italicized.

Keywords
- Provide 4-6 keywords after the abstract, separated by commas.
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, italicized.

Headings and Subheadings
- Main Headings:
The main headings should be centered and in bold.- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, bold.

- Subheadings:
Subheadings should be left-aligned and in italics.- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, italicized.

Text Formatting
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt for the main body of the text.
- The manuscript should be double-spaced with 1-inch margins on all sides.
- Paragraphs should be indented by 0.5 inches.

Figures and Tables
- All figures and tables should be included in the manuscript, not as separate files.
- Each figure and table must be numbered consecutively (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1).
- Captions:
The caption should be placed below figures and above tables.- Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt, centered for tables and figures.
- Figure Quality:
Figures must be of high quality and legible at reduced size. Submit high-resolution images (600 dpi for photos).

Mathematical Equations
- Use the equation editor in Microsoft Word for any mathematical expressions.
- All equations should be numbered sequentially and placed in the center.

References
- References must be cited in APA style.
- In-text citations: Use the author-date format (e.g., Smith, 2020).
- Kindly put the DOI of each referred article at the end of each references.

Acknowledgements
- Acknowledge sources of financial support, assistance from colleagues, and other contributors who are not listed as authors.

Ethical Considerations
- All manuscripts must include a statement of ethical approval if applicable (e.g., studies involving human or animal subjects).
- Authors should disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

Supplementary Materials
- Any supplementary materials (e.g., additional data, videos, appendices) should be submitted separately and clearly marked.
Additional Submission Requirements
- Word Count:
- The total word count (excluding references, tables, and figures) should be provided on the title page.
- Minimum-maximum word count for review articles is 3000-6000 words.
- Proof of Ethical Approval:
If applicable, provide proof of ethical approval from the relevant institutions or ethics boards.

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.

Phytum is an open access journal. There is no registration required to read any article. All published articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC Attribution 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are credited (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).
Articles
Research articles report research results of major significance. They should include an abstract, an introductory paragraph, and brief subheads. There are no page/word limits. However, limit number of references to 50 (from scopus indexed journals).
